i'm in international student applying to harvard.

in the harvard supplement, you have to say whether you have scheduled an interview yet, as you problably know the options are Yes, No - but I plan to do so and No. for yes and no-but I plan to do so, you have to state time, place and interviewer, for No you need to explain why you haven't scheduled and interview yet.

I sent an email to harvard, asking to schedule an interview and they told me to contact them AFTER i send my application. of course i PLAN to schedule an interview, but I don't know when, where and with whom it will be, so i can't fill in that part. if i check no i'm afraid they might think i just don't want to have an interview.

what am i supposed to do? can i send in my common app before the supplement or do i have to to both at the same time? if i send in the common app first, can i schedule an interview? help please!

the harvard application procces is really confusing! I have the same question too!

would someone, who has already applyed, be so kind to answer the question? xD

i’d also really love to have my interview sometime in january of february the the latest, because my final exams for the Abitur start in March. anyway i can make this happen?

For your original question, I’m not sure what the original question on application was but you should certainly indicate that you plan on schedule an interview if that is the case. You have to submit your application first though in order for an interview to be scheduled.

Yes, you can submit the two parts separately.

Of course! I don’t know about international interviews, but for applicants in the U.S., if you submit your application by early December, you can have an interview scheduled for as early as late December.

so then i’ll be able to schedule an interview with just the common app sent in, so that i don’t have to check “No” as an answer?

I was having the same issue and had to email intladm@fas.harvard.edu. The first time I emailed they told me that I had to put as my subject HELP (name of country) Interview (name of person). So I put HELP Panama Interview My Name. Then in the body I just said that I wanted an interview, my school, the usual. I got an email a week later (today, actually) with the name of my interviewer.
