<p>All right, another question:</p>

<p>I'm applying to a bunch of schools using the Common App, and all of them but one offer my prospective major (linguistics). Is it going to be problematic if I fill in linguistics for the major question, then? Or is there an easier way to fix this glitch that doesn't include choosing a different major, not applying to that school, etc...? I mean, I'm not against putting down another major, it's just not ideal.</p>

<p>no, you don't have to - it lets you select which schools you want to apply to (unless they changed it since last year for some reason).</p>
