<p>Quick question: Can the counselor finish his/her part of the Common App without the applicant finishing their essays? I was planning on doing them towards the end of the month.
Do I need to finish my CommonApp essay before they get access to the Optional Report and Final Report sections of the recommenders page? </p>

<p>Once you invite your GC, he or she will be able to complete all the counselor reports without regard to the pace at which you complete your parts of the applications. Unless your school has a different policy (for example your GC may insist on seeing your completed essays before finalizing reports), you can continue to work on your essays and other responses at your own pace.</p>
