Common app question???

Can the common application good for regular admission? And what is the best choice to make with restrictive early action? I can only apply to one ivy league and I'll apply to public UW Madison. Should I apply to the school hardest to get in of the school I wanna go to? And then I'll apply to the rest in the regular decision. Thanks!

I am not sure what either of your first two questions say.

As for the last one, if you are applying restrictive early action, do not apply to the one that is hardest! Apply to the one you feel like you have a good chance of getting into. EA does not help you chances, especially not at Ivy Leagues. So, go with the one that you feel like you have the best chance at OR the one that you want to go to the most.

Just remember, ED can help your chances if you’re a borderline applicant, but EA almost never increases the chance of acceptance.

Thank you! And I edited the second question but u answered it! And can the common application be used if you are only going to apply around January 1 or can I only be used if applying early?

The Common Application can be used for Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Decision and Rolling Decision. Every type of decision program is included in the Common App.

If you are applying Early to one school, when you finish the common app you will be prompted to select which schools to send the common app to, so you would simply choose that one school.

Then, when you hear back from said school, you would go back on the Common App and send it to the other schools using regular decision.

Is this what you mean?
