<p>For anyone who has used the Common App to apply online:</p>
<p>The short essay is supposed to be 150 words, but I'm wonderign how much other people wrote. If you wrote more than 150, was the essay cut off?</p>
<p>It's really hard for me to keep mine under 150. (It's 211 now).</p>

<p>I think it only cuts you off after 6000 characters, which is obviously wayyy more than 150 words. 211 probably isn't too long, but you might want to see if you can cut it down a little. If it helps, try to think of it more like a statement than an essay. I would try to get it to under 200 words, but no one's really counting anyway.</p>
