<p>I have searched a lot to find a definitive answer to this question, and would really appreciate if someone could help me out :)</p>
<p>The Common App deadline for USC is on January 1st. However as I am applying to the USC Thornton School of Music, their deadline is on December 1st. I have already completed all supplements pertaining to the Thornton School through Slideroom, and have turned in the main Common App. However, I have yet to fully complete the Writing Supplement section of the Common App, which does not go to the Thornton School. Do I have to have the Common App writing supplement turned in on the music school's deadline?</p>
<p>Thornton's website says:
"The deadline for all first-year and transfer music majors is December 1. All required departmental materials must be received by the Thornton Admission office by this date."</p>
<p>The fact that it says "departmental materials" leads me to believe that it is NOT in fact due on December 1st, yet I would like to have a clear answer. Thanks so much. :) <3</p>
