Common App Vehicle Registration

Hi guys! I’ve floated around this site for a while and gained a lot of helpful information but now I am filling out the Common App and am having an issue finding something.

For in-state residency, when they ask for registration date for car, do they mean the date on the motor vehicle registration or on the certificate of title for a vehicle?

Registration. Titles aren’t rewritten if you move from state to state; registrations are. They can access the state DMV to verify your instate residency.
