I understand that the Common Application for current Juniors will not be available until July 1. However, does anyone have any insight as to how many schools will be added to the Common Application and who they may be?

I don’t believe that’s announced until the application for 2009-10 opens up, since colleges are allowed to choose to participate in it up until that deadline.

It’s almost always true that the Common App is accepted at a college, though some colleges will require an addendum.

What do you mean by “added”?

Got the new CA in the mail yesterday, in a Harvard app booklet.

I got the Harvard application booklet too. I’m so. not. applying…but it makes me wonder why the regular common application isn’t up yet if schools are already mailing it out.

^ I got that too. I saved it because I was so excited to get mail from the ever famous Harvard College hahah even though I would never apply there.

I lol’ed when I thought about the fact that Harvard already has the common app when no other place does.

ya so did I…I dont think the common app will change much…so you can see the 2009 one and see the general format.

The actual application has been published.

The online system isn’t up yet because some schools accept apps through May (or later?), while no schools need to accept apps before July, so the online system isn’t prepared until June.

I just made an account. I’m not sure what to do with it. Do I wait until July to do anything with it?

i think they delete them each year before they put up the new one so you might have to register again.

did they keep the same essay prompts?
