For the SAT score section under academics, do you have to list ALL you sat dates if the school you're applying to allows score choice? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of score choice? Can somebody point out the source that says whether we have to or not? Thanks!

i wondered the same thing when i applied to colleges. i ended up listing them all and also reporting them all, even if the school didn’t require me to. idk. it was the simple thing to do.

that said, you might not want to do what i did =) my scores were never so “off” that it would kill me for reporting them

I wonder the same thing but for ACT scores rather than SAT scores. I have a 35 on the ACT, but it took me 3 tries to get there. It would look better if it looked like I got a 35 on my first try.

@browniez: it took me 3 tries to get a 2260 on the sat. cornell still accepted me. also note that a 2260 is roughly a 33/34 on the act, so you beat me too.

I’m not exactly the 100% right person to ask, but I’ll tell you as much as I know and what I did.

I don’t think you have to list ALL the dates. List only the score(s) you want EVERY school–even the score choice schools–to see. The non-score choice schools SHOULD have a section in their supplement that tells you to report any additional scores you didn’t report on the common app.
