How important are these UNC supp questions? I'm being somewhat open with them and saying things like 'my smartphone' or whatever. Should I aim to present a more academic/sporty image or are they not significant at all?

I think they’re fairly important — it’s to get them to know you as a person better. that said i havent put anything down yet, so…

I applied EA and know alot of people that been accepted into UNC (I live in NC) and the advice I got from them is that the questions, like most schools have these types, are ways to get to know you from a simplistic standpoint. When I say simplistic, I don’t mean the type of person you are, I mean how the answers will help them build a complete picture of you using short and simple answers to both common and unique questions. I would recommend to be honest and try to emphasize or include your real interests/passions as shown in the rest of your application. Basically don’t try to be too “ground-breaking” as I phrase it. Just my advice…

Okay cool, so there’s not tooooo much pressure on me for the questions then, i hope.

still struggling with the theme song though haha, that one sucks
