<p>I'm just curious - how much communication is necessary in ibanking that requires spoken language? I've got mild to moderate hearing loss which can prevent me from successfully understanding most of the material in spoken conversations (e.g. by phone). How much of a handicap would this be to me in an ibanking job? I'm only asking since I want to know if this is a field I can work in.</p>
<p>There is a ton of communication in IB - my recommendation would be to pay extra close attention in meetings, get a hearing aid to help with the issue and learn to read lips if you can’t already. Finally, don’t let it stop you from doing IB if that is what you want to do.</p>
