Does anyone have any comments/experiences regarding the Communications Studies major at Northeastern?

Hello!
I’m currently an undergraduate student at Northeastern majoring in Communications. The Communication department is part of the College of the Arts, Media and Design at NU. Going into my third year as a Comm major, I only have great things to say about the Comm Department. The faculty is constantly growing and improving (8 new people this year!) I really feel like the professors push me and challenge me in ways that will give me a head start when I leave college to enter the work force. Another great thing not only about the Communication Studies major, but with any major at NU is the opportunity to co-op. The co-op program is so unique to Northeastern and it’s easily the reason I decided to go here. The opportunity to take up to a year or more throughout your college experience to work in a professional environment and get a taste of what you may be doing when you graduate, is priceless. The amount of connections you’re able to make, and the great work experience you have to add to your resume, really gives you a leg up when you graduate. I feel as though the professors, tutors, mentors, and fellow students in the Comm Department, and at Northeastern in general, have more than prepared me for life after college.
