Community College or 4-year University

Right now I'm unsure of what I am going to do. I was accepted into UCR, CSULB, Fordham University, and Loyola Marymount University. Out of all those schools, I'm leaning towards LMU. However, I was rejected from USC which is my top choice and also my dream school. My choices right now are either going straight to LMU, or going to community college and then transferring to USC. The only thing right now that is holding me back from going to community college is that I'm really worried that I won't be able to get classes or something and I end up getting stuck there especially the way the California public schools are nowadays. Also if it helps, I'm an accounting major. Any help would be appreciated!

Congrats on to the great schools you did get into. I can give you insight on my community college experience, I have never had much of a problem getting into classes. I know California is in the hole so not sure what might happen or how your school would be.

what are your stats?

There’s no guarantee that USC will accept you next time. What’s the financial differences and do they matter? And since USC isn’t a state school, is there any advantage transferring from a community college rather than a four year institution besides money? I know that it helps when transferring to the UC system but I don’t know if it would for USC.

What is the cost of each? If UCR is cheaper go there.
