Compare the AP test to an AP class

I'm self-studying Psych and Stat. I'm just wondering if anyone who has taken an AP class in these subjects in their high school thought about how much you work or learn in the class compared with what's on the actual test.

totally depends on the teacher

It’s incomparable. I learned a wealth of information from my teachers, information I would not have picked up had I only self-studied.

Hmm. Pretty difficult to compare. On one hand, the AP Class lasts an entire year, while the AP exam goes for about four-five hours. Which one do you perfer?

I took AP Psych last year. You can teach yourself that class if you want, if you do that there are A TONNNN of vocab you have to learn. But I would suggest the class to be honest. The class really elaborated on the conceptual areas of the course.

AP Psychology - My teacher was practically nonexistant. She gave us meaningless packets to do in accordance with our textbook. I hardly studied for tests and did poorly (C’s) on them. But about a month before the book, I went over as many terms as I could and read through all of Barrons AP book and made sure I knew everything. I ended up getting a 5.

AP Statistics - Again, my teacher wasn’t the greatest but at least we did some stuff in class. Most of the stuff is pretty basic but I went over Barrons AP book and took the practice tests. The test really isn’t hard at all and I ended up getting a 5.
