<p>Hey, so what's competitive GPA to get into a decent grad school? How about GRE scores? Is it considerably easier to get into Master's than Ph.D program? I'm going for biological sciences, probably zoology.</p>
<p>I think this all depends on the programs you are looking at and your research experience. All programs seem to have a 3.0 minimum though there are some masters programs that have a lower minimum. The range of general GRE scores go from 1600 down to 1150 or so. Again a masters program would probably be less stringent.</p>
<p>Your best bet is probably to email or call the programs you're interested in. but be aware that very few schools track that information and fewer still publish it. Also that 3.0 minimum that most schools mention on their websites is prettty misleading. The "real" minimums are higher - above 3.5 is not unusual. </p>
<p>Finally, be sure to read the first page of "Grad School Admissions 101", pinned to the top of this board. It will give you a good idea of the relative importance of things like GPA and GRE scores.</p>
