Hi, I'm an african american girl, with a nigerian background about to enter my Senior year of high school and I'm worried about getting into the schools I want to. My top three choices/ reach schools are Duke University, Washington University, and Northwestern. I currently have a 3.83 GPA unweighted and a 31 ACT score which I am retaking. I'm president of my Senior Class and have volunteered over the past 3 summers of high school at my local public library. I have completed a medical summer program (I am going into pre-medical studies). I've been on Varsity Soccer and Track. I'm part of the National Honors Society and a Founder of a club similar to TED talks but for my high school. I received a 4 on my AP US exam. I am in honors/ AP classes (AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Lang, AP European) except Math, I will only have pre-calc by the time I graduate (is that a large detriment?). I also go to a pretty good high school (it's ranked in the top 150 in the country). and WashU selects quite a few students from my school (I think it's an affiliation thing). I am also looking at Tufts and UVA.

Compared to others, my record looks pretty normal so I don't really know how I stack up.
