I put "cautiously optimistic" for the king passage... Can someone tell me the question for "laying foundation" and "circumscribed"?

"laying foundation for course of action"- a short passage about spam

circumscribed- SC about the range of color for house's exterior ...by the community's rules about the upheld of property

yeah, that's what I also put

Does anyone remember some of the 'comparing passages' questions? They were the ones that had something like "compared to passage 1, passage 2 was.."?

anyone remember teh contex tof the question for celebrating different ways?

I usually agree with the majority, however in regards to the underhanded/ inapt argument I think both sides are incorrect. Cecil did not like his metaphor because he thought it was a bit too vain, not because it was too inspecfic or indirect. He also did not feel that his metaphor was not fitting, due to the fact that the passage later stated he was enchanted with the idea of his fiancees string breaking and her rising up to him. Thus, utimately, the only answer that makes sense is that he felt his phrase was singularly poetic.

KRabble88: for that one , I think i put "passage 2 answers a a question posed in passage 1 " or something like that...

does anyone remember the answers for the long passage about the drama teacher and her weird theories about acting?? maybe it was experimental

I disagree with:
compare dance and something - something into motion

I think the right answer was something along the lines of "highlight the diverse aspects of physics." I mean, it wasn't that phrase, but the point of it--saying that one kind of star waltzed and the other danced frantically--was to show how diverse they are. It had nothing to do with actual dancing.

Edit: I just realized there were TWO questions about dance metaphors--the one on the physics passage and the one on the acting passage. Which is this referring to?

Also, about the Cecil passage: He was worried the guy would think he was being vain--that he was comparing himself to a star that she would fly up to. I'm positive on this.

I put 'completely agree' instead of 'cautioulsy optimistic'...

wat wast the question for 'completely agree' and 'cautiously optimistic'?

gloaming, yes there were two different questions about dancing. The one people were refering to was the acting one. The physics one is to show how different the sizes were (galaxies vs. atoms).

the question for completely agree and cautiously optimistic was about MLK . ya the dancing question in the acting section was set into motion and the physics one was definitely to highlight the extremes (quarks and galaxies seem pretty extreme to me)

can anyone give context for the dancing one? and also does everyone agree with the "to highlight the exteremes"?

which was the "indulge/apportion" one????

anyone remember? it sounds SLIGHTLY familiar.. but iunno

zh0u, I put that for one of my SC, and I was pretty certain of it at the time!

yea but umm.. do you remember what the question was?

thats the only one im not too sure for SC

can anyone give context for the dancing one? and also does everyone agree with the "to highlight the exteremes"? PRETTY PLEASE!

i put down highlighting extremes.

what was the question for which everybody put 'social context something?' sounds familiar, and i might have put it but i cant remember exactly

Did everyone have the passage about the literary critic who liked Willa Cather, or was it experimental?
