Hello,
So, I am an international student in my final year of high school and starting university in Fall 2011. I have applied in computer science and so far from the universities I have heard, the ones I have short listed are University of Manchester and University of Toronto. Which do you think is a better choice for Computer Science?

It really depends on where you intend to work, after graduation.

I really don’t mind either of those countries to work in after graduation. The thing is according to rankings, University of Toronto is really good, so is Manchester but University of Toronto is better. But when I hear or research reviews, U of T has varied reviews, some say its really bad because the teaching is bad, they lower your GPA and there is no social life in U of T but others are like its really awesome and good. I don’t know which ones to believe. I only know one person in Manchester that says its good but they also have some mixed reviews…

The college you attend is not that important.
The employment rate of both of those colleges should be very good.

The only reasonable criteria is whether or not you would prefer to live in Canada, or UK. That is the question you should be asking yourself, because believe me- you can get a good job coming out of either school.

Uoft is tough from what I’ve heard but if your a serious student you’ll do well. If you applied for Waterloo and are accepted there program is very good and many people feel it’s better then uoft
