Computer Science at PSU

I am going to be a Sophomore in the fall, majoring in Computer Science and Engineering at PSU. Someday I want to work for a big tech company like Google, Microsoft, etc, and my fear is that Penn state is not going to get me there. After doing research on linkedin, I found that PSU grads don't hold that many jobs at these companies, and the big tech schools hold a large portion of the jobs. I am considering a transfer to another school, that will help me achieve my goal.
If anyone has anything to say about the CS department at PSU to help me make my decision please chime in.

Hi Judgement - Can’t Career Development and the CS&E Dept at Penn State provide this type of info (placement at major tech companies) for you?

You cannot dual-major in computer science AND engineering. It is one of the few combos of concurrent majors banned by the department of engineering.

Where were you thinking of transferring? IMO, wherever you go you will face major competition for places like Google. To REALLY grab their attention you need to enter coding competitions, lead clubs, etc- things that will separate yourself from the crowd, regardless of what college you go to.
