Does anyone have any information regarding the computer science program at TCNJ?

I’m not an expert, but my s. intends to major in comp sci and he just chose TCNJ. Some reasons why: unlike many schools, TCNJ’s computer science program is accredited by ABET. (If you Google it, you can link to their website and get a list of all the colleges that are accredited in computer science, among other technical fields.) TCNJ has 8 full time professors and 2 adjuncts – a fair number for a smallish school. The facilities (labs) are pretty good. When my s. visited for accepted students day, the department put on a very good presentation, and the department head has been very responsive. The classes are said to be small. My s. talked to a lot of the cs students at accepted students day, and he really liked them, and they all seemed very happy with the TCNJ program. I think that if you want a liberal arts education with a CS major, TCNJ is a good choice. But if you are really focused and just want CS, probably a technical school is the way to go.
