<p>I just got an acceptance from UC yesterday, however, I was accepted for my second-choice, computer science, instead of industrial design. Having said that, computer science was my second-choice for a reason and I am seriously considering this offer, but I am unsure if the computer science program at UC is good. Have any of you been in the computer science program at UC? How was it? Did you feel that it prepared you well for employment?</p>
<p>OK, CS at UC doesn’t have the status of MIT, Carnegie Mellon, or UIUC. But overall, the engineering school is good and being at a co-op program gives you a huge advantage with employers. You graduate with 4 semesters (or 5?) of real work experience on your resume.</p>
<p>My son is a junior in CS and has always had several co-op opportunities to choose from. </p>
