I believe that my interests lie at the intersection of these two fields. I have heard of Management of Information Systems, but am not interested. What would be some other recommended careers that combine both of these fields?

BS CS then get an MBA. Dont do CIS, MIS or business at undergraduate level. It would be very hard to get to an MS CS program with one of those. Plus, with a BS CS you can do any job a CIS, MIS, or business major can do at undergraduate level

I have a question very similar to this, and if you feel like im thread-jacking, just let me know and ill create my own thread !

What about a 4/5 year dual program where you can get your Bachelor’s and Master’s at one time (IE at UGA you can get both in 4 years depending on how much summer work you do) then getting your MBA? Would it be worthwhile to have a Master’s in CS and a MBA? And why do people generally say wait a few years until you get your MBA?

BS CS, MIS is non-math based. You can try dual degree BS/MS in CS or do MBA later.

@vandice: You might have to wait a few years to meet work experience requirements and some mba programs have high cost. MBA is b-school undergrad core all over again typically for AACSB. I have researched both MBA and MS, STEM MS also can get stipend whereas MBA fewer programs have assistantships. MBA is a professional degree whereas MS can be more academic degree. It is a hard choice for grad, especially given tuition is typically 2-3x undergrad rates for a normal state school.
