I’m currently a freshman majoring in biochem but I’m starting to think this major isn’t my desired career path to take. It’s cool to learn about the science behind life but I was only on this major to be a pharmacist and I choose to be a pharmacist for the money(which is sad to admit but i’m being honest here) and I don’t know what I truly want to do. My parents suggested it to me since I didn’t want to be a doctor but they’re open minded to the idea that I might change my career path.
I am considering CS even though I have no programming or coding experience(just in the process of learning though) I know having a small blog or github for small projects and learning C,Java, and C+++ will help but is there anything else that can help me prepare for it or a good online source to teach me?
I want to transfer to GMU since they have a better CS program but I don’t have the strong requirements of being able to do so since I have started out pretty badly (unless I make a huge clutch in my finals) for my classes plus I won’t have 30 credits by the end of my first academic year. As a result, I want to know if the teachers in VCU teach well in CS classes to prepare me for CS. And if so, who is the teacher so I can consider!
But if you have any advice for me please do let me know!
**I will be seeing my advisor soon and will update to provide clearer details.
