I'm just wondering what kind of jobs are available with a major in computer science. I know like software progamming, but I don't have an image of what such a job is like. Also, what companies are best for working on software? I'm sure there's also like banking, but I'm not interested in that really.

you can go teach CS. Intellectual Property Law (need law school)

a software programming will be much like your homework in programming classes.

Computer Science degree holders generally work as computer programmers.

Yeh I'm not interested in teaching or law school. About computer programming iself, which companies are popular to work for? And what is the nature of the job itself (office with a computer all day?).

I'm sorry, I'm afraid the answer is yes. But that's of course unless you're not eventually promoted to a position where you get to plan out the projects and not just do the programming. Almost all engineering jobs are essentially office space and a computer.
