Suny Binghamton

Suny Geneseo

Thanks for the help. I am a little confused on how this works!!

Look over these job ads for Information Security Analyst in the state of New York, and see what they say about education and what degree, certifications and experience they look for: http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Information+Security+Analyst&l=new+york

It is possible that certifications and skills sets will be at least as important as a degree, and more important than the name of the degree. If your Computer Science degree program does not have all the kinds of courses you need to get certifications and skills, then look at getting them online through Coursera.org or some other source. Also do internships or co-op to gain experience. Here is info on certification as an information systems security professional: https://www.isc2.org/cissp/default.aspx
