<p>In the Parent's Guide 2012, it mentions if your D's bringing a windows machine to make sure to update all the tool and some other stuff, but it doesn't mention what to do, if anything, if she's bringing and Apple............can we just show up having done nothing special to it?</p>
<p>My D had a MacBook Pro last year and didn’t do anything special before arriving at campus other than making sure she had the most recent software updates. Once she was at Wellesley, there were network connections, etc. to be added in order to access the campus wireless network and the various college resources. I believe that there was a computer help desk in the library that helped get all of the first years do this–and the help desk is available throughout the year, I believe. <p>They also helped her get her iPhone connected to the wireless network, which helped her stay on the “cheap” data plan!</p>
