If a student were interested in studying computer science at Carleton, how would he or she fare in terms of employers' demand for their services?

How much to do employers consider or desire Carleton grads with degrees in computers / computer science?

I did find this link through google. I am still interested to know the responses from this community.

My basic question might be : compared to other schools , say UIUC, UW-Mad, how do the computer opportunies at Carleton fare? In other words, IF one were more interested in a job in computers in four years, better to go to a UIUC or Carleton?

I can’t speak to relative job opportunities so I’ll let others address that, but Carls are characterized by intellectual curiosity, a thirst to learn. Some survey a few years ago asked kids why they chose the college they did. My recollection is that jobs and career planning didn’t show up in the top 5 reasons at Carleton, although they were high on the list for many schools.

So whether or not the job opportunities are the same among the schools you listed (and as I said, I have no info there), you should also consider that mysterious “fit.” The different motivations of students at the different schools might matter to you.
