I have problems in this area while reading sometimes, and wonder what people do to fix this on Test day. I mean, what is the best foods to eat, or things to do. I can read a whole passage sometimes and understand everything. Other times, am like what did I just read? If I wake up in the morning, or after I wake from a nap, I am fine or at my Best. What do you do to have complete focus. Thanks

monitor your focus, pretend someone else is reading it to you/imagine what it sounds like. Ask yourself what did I just read after every sentence/paragraph if need be. What you eat doesn’t make a difference as long as you do eat and you don’t eat too much, although doing something similar to SAT the night before and possibly to get you focused the morning of is helpful. when you get distracted, what else are you thinking about, or are you just unable to focus? try reading for extended periods to increase your focus

When I get distracted usually I am thinking something like, “if I don’t understand this passage I won’t get into college.”

I am like super stressed out now. Its a long story, but its effecting my Concentration. If I had to take a test now, I would drink Red Bull, work out alittle to compensate for my lack of focus. Listening to Brain Wave music, while meditating is super good too. So I have heard. Also, having a 100% blue berry smoothie is great too. I just don’t know if I should do all of them at once, or just a couple.

Pretend someone is reading to me is a very good tip. When I didn’t have this stress in my life, I would read a book as if I was watching a movie. Now when I read, my mind goes back to the bad experience I had, thats causing all the stress in the first place. I just don’t know how I should really go about this.

When I drunk Red Bull, I was able to read like 4 hours without stopping. I went to the bathroom of course, but that was it. I had this stop watch on my computer, and I stopped it when I wasn’t reading. Altogether, I read alittle over 10 hours. You know thats good…Right??? Thanks for your help.

I tried that trick too, and my mind was like, “I don’t care”. Any other mind hacks that you know of. Thanks in advance.
