Concert dress

Sry, this question is pretty girly...
But assuming there's a lot of music geeks (myself included) on here...any one of you know a good place to get a long black dress for performances? It seems like everything out there is either too low-cut, sleeveless, or cut in a way that would be hell to perform in. Online stores would be ideal considering not all of us live in SoCal, but if you're from around here then great too.
Thanks...
/girliness.

well i guess it's off to Macy's yet again.
...dammit. =)

well...i have never looked in the girl's section before, but this store called tilly's has a lot of black, punk rock type of clothing. i dont know about dresses per se, but ive seen short skirts hehe. lol

I usually go with pants/skirts and a shirt, since dresses are hard for cellists. So no help here.

thanks sleepisabliss, haha
kitkattail, i SO wish i was a cellist. for one thing i love the instrument...and besides dresses really suck. :)

old navy usually has basic black stuff. i play the cello, but i usually wear a knee length black shirt and sweater. don't know if old navy would have a long black dress, but it's worth a try.

You could always try eBay.... No seriously. Some stores sell new clothes at discount.

Whoa, nervous_breakdown, are you kidding? I TOTALLY wish I could wear dresses to performances! I am always so jealous of violinists with their long sweeping dresses and poise and elegance and all that. That's one of the (few) disadvantages of being a cellist. That and carrying around my weight in stuff all the time.

haha i'm sorry kitkattail, i guess we never like what we have do we...
man i feel sorry for double bassists.
