Conclusion to the James Sherley case

Half a year ago, there was a thread on this subforum titled "Racism in tenure decision at MIT? Fascinating, nonetheless."

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=297710%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=297710</a></p>

An associate professor of biomedical engineering, Dr. James Sherley, was denied tenure. Instead of focusing on his productivity (or lack thereof), he chose racism as the reason why he did not receive the honor.

On June 30 of last week, he was unable to enter his lab because MIT changed the locks. His MIT web page has been deleted. His case has ended. I commend MIT for not kowtowing to his ridiculous demands. He dug his own grave with his brashness and lousy productivity.
