i am 15 and i am wanting to know what the main things are you have to have to get into wake forest after i graduate from high school...i am wanting to go into nursing or something in the medical field...because i have had medical issues and it seemed to be very interesting on how things are done...? could you help me out on things i would need to work toward and classes i would need to take another thing i am asking is cause my friends parents have told me i have no chances to get into wake forest? which i want to prove them wrong(: thanks

I need all the help I can cause I really wanna get in the medical field!

Relax. Just do your best in school, join some clubs/activities, and maybe try to volunteer at a clinic or hospital.

I would suggestion reading Cal Newport’s blog:
www.studyhacks.com
It has some great advice about time management and succeeding in high school.

Don’t worry about Wake Forest just yet–just have fun and do well in school.

Just so you know, Wake doesn’t have a nursing major or a “pre-med” major, per se. There are “tracks” of classes you can take for pre-med/physician assistant/PT/allied health, however.

I definitely agree - it’s too early to be completely worried about getting into Wake. Just focus on getting good extracurricular activities (maybe look into hospital volunteering, as already mentioned) and doing well in your classes.

I have to worry bout college so I can set a goal

Yea, do well in High School. Be involved with clubs (things you like), start a new club even. Make sure you do things that are productive in the summers - volunteer, travel.

Do things that set you apart from other NC students. That will get you into Wake.

Also, what willmingtonwave said.
