Confused about 2015 and 2016 sat?

<p>So I'm planning on taking the SAT in 2015, but I was wondering if the SAT tests from October 2015-December 2015 are considered a 2016 SAT.</p>

<p>So if I take the Nov 2015 SAT, is that considered a 2016 SAT since it's the 2015-16 school year? Or is it still considered a 2015 SAT?</p>

<p>Does the SAT change every year or every school year? meaning if I took it in Dec 2015 is it the same as the January or early 2016? or would it still be the same.</p>

<p>Sorry if this sounds so confusing I suck at explaining.</p>

<p>I'm mainly asking this because I want to get prep books, but I'm not sure if I should get 2015 or 16 books if i take the test in november or october 2015. thanks!</p>

<p>The SAT is not changing till 2016 im pretty sure.</p>

<p>I don’t believe so, my understanding is that the new SAT will not come till the spring of 2016, so fall 2015 will be the old SAT</p>
