I'm a junior, my current GPA is a 2.94. For junior year I will have 3.83 my first semester, and 4.16 the second. Senior year, I will have 4.83 both semesters. Now, my teacher gave me a formula to find out future GPA, and it came out to be 3.67. Now to my understanding, I gained about the same increase as a 3.83 as a 4.83. Isn't it possible to get around a 3.8? The formula was as follows:
Current GPA x4
+The GPA's of all your semesters.
Divide by 8
EX:
2.94x4=11.76
11.76 + 3.83 + 4.16 + 4.83 + 4.83
Divide by 8
I got 3.67.
Help?

Divide the total you get from your grades from each semster by the number of classes you took
A-4
B-3
C-2
D-1
If you took AP or IB classes, augment the value according to how your school counts it.
*You dont necesarily take an average of each semesters GPA to find the total GPA.

yah but you have to figure in the dex and cha modifiers...

well i know how to do that, the whole point is that I have the next 4 semesters grades already so i want to know how to average those into my cumulative.

how do you know what you will get in 2 years?

erm...just add the GPA for every single class you will take over high school and divide by the number of classes....and you have to count the grade for each semester seperately.

At least, that's how my school does it.
