Confused about recs on Common Application - I can't find answer

<p>For each school does your counselor have to fill out a different recommendation that you apply to using the common application? What about teachers? Also, how do you know if you submitted application prior to recs being completed that they have been submitted? Thanks.</p>

<p>Teachers and counselors fill out one rec form that then gets sent to each school you apply to via the CA. Once you submit your application and any supplements, there should be a window that will let you know when the other parts (transcripts, recs, etc.) are submitted. Don’t worry if recs/transcripts are submitted before you submit the app or, conversely, much later. They all magically get put together. FYI my daughter’s teacher rec two years ago was submitted only a few hours before the deadline for her EA schools.</p>
