Congrats to the '11s

You can remember it like it all happened yesterday; the acceptance letter, Dimesnsions, DOC trips, Move in day, Sophomore Summer, Homecoming, etc. The 4 years just flew by and there is a part of you that is saying that the time has gone by way to fast and it just can't be time to leave.

I hope that you and your kids have had an amazing 4 years in Hanover. There is nothing quite like it. I hope that you have great time this weekend and I cannot wait to hear the graduation updates. Just remember, as this one door is closing and others are opening!!

Don't forget your folding chairs and flat shoes for class day on the BEMA tomorrow and Sunday is rain or shine on the green.

In 2009, it was rain and then shine on the green. 11s have a great, emotional and fulfilling graduation day.

I have never. Been. So. Cold. In. My. Life.

52 degrees and windy and overcast. I still wore my little sleeveless frock, with a sweater and a shawl and a blanket over everything. And, unfortunately, the folding chairs are metal.

Forewarned is forearmed.

But Conan O’Brian was fantastic! Find him on YouTube. [YouTube - ‪Conan O’Brien Delivers Dartmouth’s Commencement Address‬‏](<a href=“Conan O'Brien Delivers Dartmouth's Commencement Address - YouTube”>Conan O'Brien Delivers Dartmouth's Commencement Address - YouTube)

Conan O’Brian’s speech was so funny!

It seems like we just can’t get good weather in Hanover for graduation. It was a heatwave in 2008.

BIG Congrats to the '11’s. Leverage your education and do good things.

Conan. Very Funny. Very Perceptive. Loved it.

Sybbie, are you saying that those attending the graduation have to bring their own folding chairs? We will be attending next year, but flying in from California. Should we stop along the way at the WalMart in Manchester to buy chairs for all of those in our group?

No, there are plenty of folding chairs on the green for graduation. Since there is open seating arrive early. Now they have a jumbotron so you can watch the ceremony.

Saturday, the day before graduation is class day where they have a ceremony on the BEMA. You are walking downhill (which is why you should wear comfortable shoes and there is not seating (unless you want to sit on the ground, bring one of those folding chairs that has its own case.
