Conn stopped the full-need guarantee?

I'm just wondering when Conn stopped saying they would meet full-need for everyone. They were still making that claim when I applied. I guess I'm not surprised that they couldn't hold out forever.

How do you know they stopped? I met with a rep a few months back and she did not mention that, she only spoke about how generous the college was. Now I’m freaking out!

I came across the US News page of colleges that claim to meet full need and noticed Conn wasn’t on it. I went to Conn’s website and they’ve removed any mention of their full-need guarantee.

Well, that blows. Maybe because instead of meeting 100% they can only supposedly meet something like 98%. Keeping my fingers crossed because Conn is my dream and it is way too expensive for my family.

Don’t despair! My son is now a junior at Conn College, and we absolutely could not afford it without a generous package. We were so relieved to see that the school is very fair and generous with financial aid. Though they may or may not be able now to meet 100% of full need, they come very close to it. We are paying considerably less than if he were going to the local state university. And it’s a terrific place–great professors and a very supportive community. Best of luck, whichever school you choose!

Wow thank you so much! That was so nice to hear (:
