where are the knock knock jokes?

Just turn on the voice command function and say loud and clear, "tell me a joke". :D

would that require a microphone?

I would have to say the only con is compatibility issue with a Windows-dominated world!!

Nana767: Nope. All models have a built-in microphone/sensor which you might find useful when you want to add a voice clip while making iMovies among other things. Just lean forward to the speakers above the keyboard if you think the comp didn't hear your "command" properly.

Yes, built in microphone. Lovely
Have you also played with voice-to-text? None of the voices sound normal

Voice to text?? They have that function? I've been looking for that but so far I've only found text-to-voice. Where?

Macs are really awesome for making you feel cool when you really have nothing else about yourself to make you feel that way. Like my sister has a Prada bag, but like, I can't carry one of those around. No way. Ipods used to be great, but now everyone has them and the iRiver has so many more features and is so much more compatible that just having the iPod doesn't realy do it anymore.

And so what if it really isn't as compatible as a Windoze laptop? There's so many work arounds and cool programs you can buy and download and fiddle with that it really gives you something to talk about with other Apple dudes. Plus new operating systems to buy every year! For me it's something cool to do with my otherwise boring life: figuring out how to make it useful and sound cool. Like I really belong to something. It's like a Geek's Greek.

Those guys with Windoze, man, they just use their computers for school work or AIM or listening to music and stuff. Like getting into your car and driving it somewhere. Click it and it runs. What fun is that?

Go for the Mac, Dude. But do it now before they start making 'em with the Intel chips. Then they'll be be just like everything else. 'Cept of course, we'll have to get by on our own, when Apple starts trying to sell and support their new machines. That will be really cool when we can be the purists who have the old stuff they don't update or write programs for anymore.

Sorry! I meant text-to-voice. If there's voice-to-text I haven't found it. I think you have to buy extra software for that.

Oh well. I still love my mac, voice-to-text or no. :D
