Conservative Christian college without the legalism

On the west coast, Westmont, Point Loma Nazarene, and Azusa Pacific are good choices.

Wheaton College!

Powercropper im new here and have no idea how to pm you. I saw your question post on Liberty university. I have the same concerns/questions you did. Did your child end up attending Liberty? If so what was your experience as a conservative non legalistic Christian parent? Thank you

My family would be considered conservative but non-legalistic. I have a niece who just finished her first year at Liberty. She really enjoyed her time because the dorm rules at Liberty foster relationships in a way you don’t find at schools with a liberal policy about drinking and/or the “hookup culture”. Some of her high school friends who went away to party schools actually messaged her about her social media posts because they were tired of the drinking and were somewhat envious about the fun she seemed to be having compared to them. Liberty does have a curfew where you have to be in the dorm by 12:30 but because there are commons areas (where guys and girls’ dorms share a lounge area) kids will hang out until later. My niece hasn’t felt that the rules have curtailed her fun at all. But it depends on what you are looking for in a college experience.
