<p>Someone mentioned this briefly in the CC NYU forum and there were fuller
discussions in the Parents forum. </p>

<p>I just bought College Student Insurance for my son, very reasonable rates
especially through CSI (College Student Insurance). The coverage will cover
computers, musical instruments, cell phones, ipods, etc. that a student might
lose or have stolen. Even accidental damage is covered with this company.</p>

<p>Another company is NSSI (National Student Service, Inc.). This company is
more expensive but likely to have similar coverage.</p>
