considering emphasis on entrepreneural studies

will an emphasis on entrepreneural studies close alot of doors for job opportunities, USC has one of the best programs in the country and I have always wanted to own my own business later down the road, but once I graduate, I am going to have to get a job

bump. im in the same boat wondering whether i should study either entrep. or accounting. i enjoy entr. and i "plan" on owning my own biz, but an accounting degree at SC is more powerful.

wow this discussion is soo helpful. thanks a lot guys, keep up the good work.

Finally... some entrepreneurs up in here. I'm going to be a finance major, and minor in entrepreneurship. Unless you plan to become an IBanker, most of the skills/tools you need for your job you can easily learn once you're actually working. Plus, that entrepreneurship education builds a certain way of thinking and analyzing things. If you ever plan to work for a smaller business or start your own small business majoring entrepreneurship will benefit you quite a bit. It might not look as good when trying to get your first job, but it will help you immensely if you want to become an entrepreneur. Starting a successful business is all about learning from mistakes and learning to build on successes... something only experience teaches you. Good luck.

Actually you can learn most of ibanking on the job too. If not, why else would bb firms hire art history and poly sci majors.

thank you thank you
