I've been looking around the past few days at programs and I've seen a few that I'm interested in. I'm mainly looking at Purdue, Clemson, UIUC, Michigan State, FIU, and a few others.

I don't have the HS grades to be admitted to these schools right away. I was held back as well, never took calc or even precalc. It's a long story, but I'm not dumb by any stretch. We had a lot of financial, relocation, and family issues while I was in HS and I could've easily been a 4.0+ student had our situation been more stable.

Anyway, I've heard some colleges don't really accept transfers, especially from CC's, but I've always figured that was mainly limited to the Ivy League and other top tier schools. Does this apply to schools I listed above as well? Because I don't want to go to CC thinking I'll be good to transfer into Purdue or Mich State in two years while they laugh me out of admissions when that time comes.

Thanks

edit: Crap, wrong forum. Could a mod please move this to the Transfer Students forum? Thanks.
