I have looked around trying to see if there are any consulting internships available for rising juniors, but it seems that they are primarily geared to rising seniors. Has anyone heard of any rising juniors being able to obtain internships from top consulting firms? Do you know of any specific programs?

bump......

yeah. i'm a rising junior. but i may just cheat the system because i have junior standing credit wise. so i am a rising senior technically. just not planning on graduating next year (they don't have to know that :P).

Sure. My husband works for a major management consulting firms and they will even hire rising sophs if they are top students they know they'll want later. They want to get in with these guys now and hope to stop them from going to ibanks. Of course this will be less of an issue for now.

I still laugh at the fact that consulting firms want to know your SAT scores, but the truth is they have a formula that seems to work for their business so they can identify keepers early on.

thanks hmom5. great input.

with the series of unfortunate events going on at wall street, consulting jobs have gotten harder to get. Not hearsay but observation. I went to a consulting firms info session this year in my school and the number of ppl that were there tripled that of last year-I attended last year.
