Consumerist: Education Secretary Betsy DeVos “Resets” Rules On For-Profit Colleges

The rules in question are the Gainful Employment and Borrower Defense rules. The Gainful Employment rule is already in effect, while the Borrower Defense rule was supposed to go into effect soon but has been put on hold.

As someone told, “Just give her a chance”, I confess to not being surprised at any of the positions I have seen this Secretary take. She has been all I thought she would be. And my thoughts were not good.

Seems like a lot of mumbo-jumbo from DeVos. Beyond criticizing Obama’s policy, she didn’t say what she was going to do. I suspect she’ll allow For-Profit schools to go back to their old habits of conning students.
