If I wish to contact a professor for a position, should I email for the position, or email to schedule a meeting to discuss research, in which I could discuss the position?
Also, if you have any tips (like don’t shotgun template it, personalize, research professor’s research etc), please do offer! Thanks!
Email, asking for a convenient time to discuss the position by phone or in person, whichever the professor would prefer. And good luck!
@MidwestDad3 Thanks for your input! So basically a combination of both, not wanting to be too pushy by asking directly through email but not so subtle as not mention it.
Yep, that is what I would suggest.
