I looked at a lot of websites and still have no clue in what my percentage will be compared to on a gpa scale.
I got 66% in my 10+2 aggregate as well as in 12th grade and 84.9% in my SLC. I am going to apply to Universities in US for the fall of 2014.
In one website, I found this info = (65-69)% ranges in gpa from 3.25-3.45 for Nepalese and Indian students... I am not sure if it's true.. So any thoughts?
Here's the link to that page : Calculate your GPA for US colleges and universities
The data is in a table below this part :
For those of you who comes from a country that use percentage system, such as India and Nepal, below is the approximate conversion table provided by wikipedia. Students from other countries should refer to this link for information on GPA conversion.

You CANNOT convert percentages from a country into a GPA just based on numbers since numbers don’t mean the same thing in each country.
What you need to find out is the percentage of students who reach that score or better 1° in your school 2° in your province or country. Then you can work on the conversion. Furthermore, if the class is the most complete available (called “Honors” in the US, vs “College Prep” which is the minimum you need for a college but not sufficient for a good college, “general” which does not lead to college at all) it’s “weighted” meaning you get extra points so that would affect the total. Your counselor and you will need to report both the actual scores you got and the approximate equivalent.
