Cornelius Scholarship Word Limit

Hi, I am applying for the Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarship, and my essay is slightly over 500 words. The prompt says to "please limit the essay to no more than 500 words". If I paste my whole essay into the online box, will part of it be cut off? Or is it like the common app uploads, where essays that are over 500 are ok?
Also, will the online application allow me to preview my app before submitting it?

Thanks!

“Please limit the essay to no more than 500 words” means you need to cut some words out. There’s no reason for you to get more words than everyone else. They limit the words to limit what you can say- if you’re over 500, you’ve said more than they want you to.

pancaked is correct. follow the instructions. do not request special treatment. everyone else also hopes for this scholarship.
