how good is cornell with financial aid? i want to apply ED but im scared about not getting enough aid and then being stuck with an enormous tuition bill and no way to pay it…

You will most likely get a fin.aid package that is affordable for you and your family.

I’m applying early to ILR…

TskDbx, i sense that you are quite confident that starheel will get an affordable financial aid package. Is that your experience in Cornell?

Yes, my aid package was very generous, as well as those of some friends who also got in ED.

I am still a bit confused. Are we applying against people of our same major or against the college? This is for CALS…

I think it’s for the college, but if you’re planning to do AEM, then against other people for that major? Not really sure… LOL.

cdhs:

For CALS, you apply to a specific major, so you are ‘competing’ against those who have applied to that major, not to the school itself.

I thought so, thanks for the response!

College of Engineering for me

me too. but still I cannot determine CALS OR CAS. Anyway, as an international student, it is always harder to get into those school

yeah… u r right

Just submitted my app today. It’s sooo nerve wrecking, but it’s out of my hands now

College of Engineering! ;)

where does dentistry fall into???
=.=?

idkididk, now that you’ve sent it, are you going to work on other apps or just wait until you get your decision?

might put off other supplements until like november or mid-november, then crank all of them out before my decision comes out. I’ll have everything except for payments done, and if I get into Cornell, I’ll cancel everything. If I don’t, I’ll pay and send in the rest of my apps

idkidkidk - good plans… best o luck to u… hope to meet u on the campus next fall

I highly recommend you apply to a rolling decisions safety now that you are done with your ED at Cornell - it is an insurance policy…it is very hard to get motivated to finish another app when you are counting on your ED school…but a safety is a bit easier.

Thanks harisheena, good luck to you too

I did apply EA to UMichigan also, which I think would be a high match
