Arts and Sciences.

I thought that you only got an interview if you specifically requested one…(and maybe not even then)…

CAS here. Indicated my interest in biological sciences but kinda regretting now heard that its the hardest to get in. :(

no i think cornell specifically asks not to ask them for interview opportunities… they say to WAIT to be contacted.
and mickjagger, i think it depends on where you live and whether there are alumni in your area…

Yeah, I didn’t request for an interview, I was contacted by a local alum and we decided on a time and place to meet.

45 days.

is applying undecided to CAS bad?
and what are your SAT scores?
I feel like mines are too low :(

Applying undecided to a school is not bad, not applying to a specific college is. SAT scores aren’t the only thing that Cornell takes into account, so I wouldn’t worry too much. As for me, I have a typical in-range score (2240: 720cr 770m 750w).

hey guys noob question- how do we check our application status after we’ve sent in the ED application/supplement?

You will receive an application ID & activation code from Cornell. You then chose a password. When you log in you go to “Application Status” and everything will come up.

Does Cornell send the application ID and activation code via email?

I just called the admissions office at Cornell, the representative told me that the decisions come out in mid-December and that there is no specific date at the moment. I guess the date will be announced later.

@ryanxing
Yes. The appID is sent in a couple of weeks, and the activation code is sent closer to the day that decisions come out.

Whenever I sign in with my applicantID, it tells me “Sorry, a problem has occurred.” Anyone else have this problem?

applied ED Engineering!
I’m not trying to boast, but what do you think of my chances if I have a 2400 (superscored) SAT score and 5.11 GPA (before this quarter’s grades come out…which reminds me, does the GPA include senior year quarter 1 grades?)? the absolute highest GPA is 5.3 at my school. the sat score just came in the other day and really surprised me, as it increased by 100+ pts
EC’s not spectacular at all, mostly focused on music, but I do have many volunteer hours
thanks!

Just mailed in my college application…this feels so unreal
btw, I am doing the primary/alternate option for CALS and CHE so I wrote two essays.
CALS is my primary, so if I don’t get in there do they reconsider me whole for CHE?

nvm, I got it to work

Wait, I thought that Cornell is notifying ED applicants on December 15th, 3pm? Or did I just make that up?

superexcited, that’s different each year

last year it was Dec 10th. i hope it’s earlier! the earlier the better…

Nov 2nd would be the best, just sayin’… haha

@TskDbx I got my applicantID AND activation code in the same email. I don’t think they send the activation code in a separate e-mail?
