Hi guys,

I am planning to double major in economics and math, but would rather not take the chance and apply to Cornell's AEM (as I am ED'ing somewhere else and its RD acceptance rate is frighteningly low). Should I apply to Cornell CAS or Northwestern's specialized Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences program?

Wait, are you choosing between these 2 to ED?

Know career goals/leanings yet?

Nope. My school sets a limit on how many colleges I can apply to so these two programs are fighting for my final slot. As of now, I’m leaning towards investment banking/counseling and I reckoned Northwestern’s Kellogg Certificate could be of some use.

Ah. I see. How terrible. Sorry to hear.

In any case, MMSS (with the Kellogg Certificate) seems to have become a pipeline in to high finance/Wall Street.
