Cornell Class of 2020 Early Decision Discussion

VA so we get a lot of snow here

ooo i hope there’s lots of lake-effect snow even tho that would also mean lower temperatures @MarvinTheSnowCat

@corgis no i’ve been in the snow a lot lol i even visited Cornell when it was like 20 degrees outside and snowing lol :stuck_out_tongue:

any snow sounds so nice considering the only snow i’ve seen is fake

Lol SoCal has been like 80 degrees recently, what is winter :-S

@lolog123 Same here! I’ve only seen snow a few times when I was younger

wow it is like a hunger game. many people here won’t eventually make it till the end, and only a few of us will reach there

@lolog123 so then i’m assuming you enjoy the snow seeing that you ED to cornell

I’ve seen the dirty snow they use at the skating rink before they throw it out.

snow is great it brings snow days

@corgis yeah!! i love snow

Never seen snow? Gosh, every winter I always see two or three snowstorms/blizzards. Last year we had sooo many snowstorms that we got out of school very late. We always plan for five snow days and we had like 6 or 7. It is nice when you are doing homework and you get the call that school is cancelled and you know you can go to bed and finish it the next morning.

Guy I have a question. What is there to do in Ithaca? Like, I feel like there’s nothing outside the campus

Cornell made students go to class even when there was 10 inches of snow

@NICE8x although classes will barely be cancelled due to snow at cornell :stuck_out_tongue: but i take comfort in that it’s something everyone deals with as a community, i think it’s interesting and connects everyone together, enduring the winters. oh, how much i would actually love to be a part of that.

how suitable that i should be talking about winter when i just started game of thrones the other day. winter is coming

when i went on a tour, my tour guide said someone calculated that you can go to a restaurant every week during your 4 years without any repeats!

@corgis you probably won’t be able to afford many of the restaurants outside Collegetown without your parents or their money

Tbh i didn’t like the on campus food. I only went to 1 place though. It was the underground cafe near the tour location HQ

tbh i’m pretty much only going to spend my money on food. i’ve also been to a few of the restaurants and the ones i went to were reasonably priced @IndoorCloud25

i ate in a dining hall (forget which one) but it was pretty good, especially compared to other colleges i’ve visited @CCSenioritis
